Whaddup, good people!
Tomorrow, November 30th, I will be giving a 20-minute presentation on anti-bias lesson plans in an early childhood & development class at El Camino College Compton Center a.k.a. Compton College. YAY! I'm really excited because Compton is my hometown. Also, I'm transitioning into higher education, so this presentation will allow for more practice in front of college students.
I presented at Compton College last semester on a similar topic, but this time I have more to offer. I honestly feel like this blog and my e-book are great anti-traditional resources for students to have access to. Education is received in more places than the classroom, therefore, the tools to educate (lesson plans) should be diverse.
That being said, I hope you guys will be praying on behalf of your girl. (Me.) Pray that I put my best foot forward and inspire someone to think outside the box concerning the education field.
If you would like to invite me to speak at your school, workshop, or event, you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. (Please feel free to peruse my WORK WITH ME page for pictures and speaking engagement details.)
